It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Dominic Celetti; on October 16th, 2023. Dominic was born on July 16, 1930 in Akron, Ohio of the late Fred and Maria Celetti. In addition to his parents, Dominic was preceded in death by his wife Betty {McClaskey} Celetti, brothers Vito, Patrick and Fred, and sisters Eleanor and Freda.
Dominic was a proud US Navy Veteran. He served his country aboard the USS Rogers DDR876 as a gunner's mate for 6 years, and was decorated with the National Defense, Good Conduct, Korean Services
(6 stars) and United Nations China Service medals. Dominic was a member of the UFCW Meat Cutter's Union, retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed being a vendor at the Hartville Flea market, working out in his yard and garage, and watching the stock market. He loved driving his pick up truck, listening to country music, dancing at weddings and going to the casino.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sister Jennie Celetti; his adoring children Nick (Cindy) Celetti, Vicki Pillitiere, Angela Wilson and David Celetti; 8 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a few friends, who he fondly called "brother".
The family would like to thank the Summa Health Hospice team, especially Nurse Jackie and Chaplin Terry for their loving care and support, along with day care giver Bonnie.

Akron, OH 44305 on Sunday, October 22nd from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Terry Arnold officiating. Well-deserved military honors follow the service at Rose Hill Burial Park, where Dominic will be laid to rest with his wife, Betty.
