Dona J. Baker, age 70 of Bridgeport, Ohio, died on August 17, 2023 at Wheeling Hospital in West Virginia.
She was born on October 13, 1952 in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Donald Davis and Emma Jean(nee Smith) Davis Remis.
Dona was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was the rock of the family.
Survivors include her son, Craig Thomas; her former husband, Robert Thomas; and her sister, Kathy Helfritch; and her brothers, William (Mary) Remis and Mart Remis.
Other than her parents, Dona was preceded in death by her son, Donald Thomas; her husband, Joseph Andrew Baker; her sisters, Paulette Elders and Theresa Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, where Rev. Steve Millar will celebrate Dona's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
Dona will be buried next to her husband in the East Liberty Cemetery.
