Donald L. Black
Donald L. Black, 68, of Akron, passed away on May 18, 2005. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church and he also served as church organist and choir master at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in North Hill. Donald also served as a Stenographer in the Summit County court system. He was preceded in death by his parents Delmas and Pauline (Kline) Black. Survivors include son Kevin R. Black; daughter Karen (George) Gordan; brother Jerry (Nedra) Black; grandchildren Vincent, Brittany, Jessica, and Amy; nieces Kelly (Randy) Kyes and Kerry (Frenchie) Harrelson. Calling hours will be Sunday, 3-6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. Paul Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St. where services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at East Akron Cemetery. Special thanks to Carol Walker for all her dedication.
