DONALD E. CARLYN
Donald E. Carlyn, 68, of Akron, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2001. Donald was the charter president of the Springfield Lake Area Lions Club, a member of Toastmasters International and the National Association of Parliamentarians. He was a former Springfield Twp. Trustee, a lifelong member of the Summit County Democratic Party, and held many offices as a member of OCSEA. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Edna Carlyn; son Donald E. Carlyn II; and grandsons Donald Carlyn III and Anthony Michael Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years and 11 months, Nancy; son, Patrick (Tammy) Carlyn of Lakemore; daughter, Kelly Green and fiancee Rick Hartman of Lakemore; grandchildren, Darren, Tarrah, Kathy, James, Kaitlyn, Bobby, Erika, David, and Tommy. Funeral services will be held at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., on Saturday, August 4th at 4 p.m. with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
