Mr. Donald Alan Eisenhut, 62, Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle and Dear Friend to "his kids" died peacefully on October 30, 2017 at his home wrapped in the loving arms of his family.
Don grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, OH and lived many places before coming home to finish his education and career at the University of Akron. Don touched many young lives during his time at the University and so his legacy lives on. Don embraced life with passion and a never-ending thirst for knowledge. He could converse for hours on many topics that interested him. His greatest love was music which touched him in ways that few of us ever have the privilege to experience.
Don met the love of his life, Melinda Eisenhut, in Iowa 30 years ago. She was his angel on earth caring for him lovingly and tirelessly until the end. He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife Melinda; mother, Carolyn Compton (Eisenhut nee Mollica); father, Don (Pat) Eisenhut; sister, Sharon (Jerry) Slagle; brothers, Andy and Greg; stepson, Coy Reggelsen; grandchildren, Kai and Emaleth; adopted son, Kamal; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5-8pm at the Hibernian Hall, 2000 Brown St., Akron, OH 44319. In Don's memory, please consider a contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
