Donald F. Schutz, 65, went home to be with the Lord on July 10, 2013.
Preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mildred "Marie" Schutz; brother, Robert Simon; son, Donald F. Schutz, II.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda L., of 39 years; stepdaughter, Jodi Sarver; grandchildren, Codi and Collin Schutz; brother-in-law, Richard (Amelia) Smith; father-in-law, Ross Smith; and family friend, Linda Scott.
Special thanks to the staff at the Hospice Care Center.
Calling hours will be Monday, 4-7 p.m., and Tuesday, 10-11 a.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Richard D. Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
