Donald Allen Hall

Donald Allen Hall, age 87 of Akron, Ohio, died on October 28, 2017 at Gardens of Western Reserve. He was born on April 25, 1930 in Akron, the son of the late George and Stella (nee Allen) Hall.

Don proudly served in the Army as an MP during the Korean War.

He retired from Automatic Venders in Akron. Don enjoyed gambling trips to different casinos, train rides, and visiting Niagara Falls with his daughter, Robin and his son, Chuck. He also liked to fish, especially going to Canada with his son, Chuck. He enjoyed many vacations with his grandchildren at the beach, and in recent years, spending time with his great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends at the Ellet Senior Center.

Survivors include his children, Robin (Tim) Schiele and Charles (Connie) Hall all of Atwater; his grandchildren, Jaime Bennett, and David Schiele; his great-grandchildren, Kayla Bennett and Alayna Grant; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Other than his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Hall and Wanda Carroll, his brother, Robert Hall, and sister-in-law, Joanne Hall.

Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Dan Roland will celebrate Don's life. Interment at Atwater Cemetery to immediately follow.
