Donald D. Hanam
Donald D. Hanam, 75, of Akron, left this world to join his wife of 38 years, Waltraud, in heaven on March 19, 2005. He was born to Albert and Mary (McQuown) Hanam on October 8, 1929, enlisted in the military in 1948 and served in peacekeeping operations with the Army in Germany after World War II. Don was a lifelong member of the Akron Turner Club, as well as a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion. Don and his wife enjoyed bowling and loved their pets: Teddy, Benji, and Winnie. He is survived by daughters: Kathy Hanam of Syracuse, NY, and Sandi (Tim) Cartmel of Laguna Niguel, CA; sons: Donald & David Hanam of Akron; grandchildren: Nicole, Jennifer, Jacob, Kaylee, and Zachery and great-grandchild Anthony. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. (NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME 330-784-3334)
