Donald Henry Farmer "Zeke", 65, the light of Liz's life, was taken away on March 13, 2011. Zeke was born in Akron on July 27, 1945 to the late Henry and Marietta Farmer. He enjoyed fishing and hunting at the family cabin in southern Ohio, stock car racing, restoring and collecting classic cars, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. He recently retired from Summit County Engineers where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma; and brother, David. Survivors include his beloved wife, Liz, of 40 years; mother-in-law, "Knucklehead" Minnie Coomes; sons, Dale (Carrie), Mike (Sally), and Brian (Debbie); daughters, Jodi (Jim) Jackson, Becky (Russ) Haupt, and Renee Farmer; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, George (Denise); and sisters, Donna (Gerry), Sandee, and Naomi. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N.
