Donald A. Kuhn, Sr., age 78, of Ravenna, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at his son's home with his family by his side.
He was born March 5, 1932 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Albert and Pauline (Clark) Kuhn. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Pauline Kuhn of Akron, Ohio, and Connie Kuhn of Oak Hill; two sons, Donald A. (Brittany) Kuhn Jr., of Mogadore, Ohio, Roger (Elizabeth) Kuhn of Ravenna, Ohio; four sisters, Elsie Howard of Oak Hill, Francis McGowan of Jackson, Marilyn Gray of Oak Hill, Shirley Sheline of Jackson; three half brothers, Richard Kuhn, David Kuhn, and Paul Kuhn; and two half sisters, Ruthie Dyer, and Jeanie Zinkler. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Meghan, Jonathan, Leslie, Kayla, Kaycee, Sharon Kuhn, and a great-grandchild, Makayia Kuhn.
Donald was a devoted father and grandfather. Family always came first and having them around was always important to him. He loved working in his woodshop and making crafts for people. He was passionate about his woodworking and would spend hours in his shop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Denver Kuhn, Howard Kuhn and sister, Rachel Kitchen.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home, with Rev Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery.
