Donald L. Hoover, 66, passed away December 25, 2005. He was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Roman and Thelma Hoover. Donald was a Viet Nam Veteran. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marlene (Lentz) Hoover, brothers, Bud and Jim Hoover; sisters, Idalee Doyle and Jean Toney. He is survived by daughters, Barbara Foreman of Florida and Jeanne Kaplan of Akron; sisters, Dorothy Klingelheber, Juanita Kirkbride, and Marilyn Matics all of Akron, and Betty Brown of Georgia; brothers, Bill, Eldon, and Ron Hoover all of Akron; grandchildren Roy and Holly Kaplan; and great-grandson, Brett Kaplan; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday 10 a.m. -12 p.m., where funeral services will begin at 12 p.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Rev. Scott Campbell will officiate. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care Center.
