Donald John Pniaczek, 88, of Suffield, passed away on October 14, 2022, with his family by his side. Born in Akron on May 5, 1934 to Anthony and Mary {Drozdik} Pniaczek, he had resided in Suffield for the past 53 years.
Don graduated from Hower Vocational High School in 1952, with the carpentry class. Later on in life, he loved working in his workshop, where he built many pieces of furniture with intricate inlays. He truly created pieces of art with his woodworking.
Don was a U.S. Army veteran, and was employed by Goodyear, until he joined his two brothers John and Tony in manufacturing reproduction Model A Ford parts. With the addition of Don's knowledge, the brothers expanded the business to include additional parts, and became well known and respected in the Model A Ford community. One of Don's favorite things to do was going to the Hershey antique swap meet, where he met with other Model A Ford enthusiasts and spent time with his many Hershey friends.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his brothers Tony, Carl and John; sisters Millie, Mary and Ruth; nephew John.
Don will always be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jane; children Eric and Mark Pniaczek; sister-in-law Debbie Pniaczek; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Don's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be a private gathering for his family at a later time.
