Donald Anthony Powers

Donald Anthony Powers, 82, of Streetsboro, passed away on July 27, 2019. He was born in Cleveland on May 24, 1937 to the late Anton and Irene Powers. Don proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Greenland. He spent his career at Ohio Bell and retired after over 35 years of service. He loved model trains and had an elaborate train set in his home. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Don is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Christine; daughter, Cathleen "Cathy" Hughes; granddaughter, Kellie Hughes; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Powers; niece, Kim (Brian) Davis; great-niece and great-nephew, Claudia and Nick Davis. Per Don's wishes, private services will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the veteran's charity of one's choice.
