Donald R. Allison

Donald R. "Don" Allison, 90, passed away on May 27, 2013.

Don served with the US Navy for four years and CCC for three years. He enjoyed square dancing with his wife. He was an avid golfer and once achieved a hole in one. Don was an excellent provider and family man. He was a hard worker and a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Cora Allison; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include his beloved wife, Lorraine, of 67 ½ years; daughter, Karen (Forrest) Westfall; grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) and Dawn (fiancée, Ben); great-granddaughter, Kirsten; and many other loving family members.

Calling hours will be Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Barry French officiating.
