Donald J. Unger, 97, passed away February 10, 2005 at Roselawn Nursing Home in Alliance. He was born October 12, 1907 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Silvanus & Leona (Schell) Unger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Berdine; sons, Donald, Jr. and James; brother, Orville; sisters, Thelma, Freda, Lucille and Evelyn. He is survived by his daughters, Donna Witmeyer of Goshen, Indiana and Nancy (Stilt) Shreiner of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sons, Jerry of Akron, Allen (Billie) of Sebring and Harry of Rougemont, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted at the Marlboro Cemetery Chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Ed Harnish officiating. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
