Donald W. Grubbs, 50, passed away on May 13, 2012.
Donald was employed at First Merit Bank and also owned a lawn care service. He enjoyed playing cards and dice and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, William H. Grubbs; grandmother, Martha Stephenson; and feline companions, Grey Ghost, Baby, and Little One. Survivors include his mother, Edna Weaver; brother, Kenny (Judy); sisters, Becky (Dan) Callahan, Shirley Ellen; niece, Dayna; nephews, Travis, Randy, and Eric; and beloved cats, No Tail and Mama.
Special thanks to his caretakers, Shirley, Dayna, and Becky.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. In Donald's memory, please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 13805 Akron, OH 44333.
