Donna Jean Ferrell

Donna Jean (nee Bartley) Ferrell, 95, of Akron, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022. Donna was born in Akron on June 17, 1926 to the late Robert and Marie Bartley.
Donna loved all sports. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several championship winning teams over the years. She was a lifelong fan of the Indians and the Browns. In her free time, she also enjoyed trips to casinos, playing cards, and crocheting. She enjoyed family get-togethers and holidays, particularly Christmas. Her home was always decorated beautifully for the holidays.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2003 by her husband, Ronald E. Ferrell; and her twin brother, Donald Bartley.
Donna will be dearly missed by her children, Judith (Dennis) Deterling, Dennis (Glenda) Ferrell, Ronda (Archie) Campbell, Russell (Ann) Ferrell, and Kenn (Wendy) Ferrell; grandchildren, Michael, Donna, Cyndi, Vicki, Ronald, Kimberly, Jason, James, Jeff, McKenzie, Emily, Drew, Blake, Colten, Lucas, and Ariel; great-grandchildren, Grace, Claire, Nathaniel, Evan, Delaney, Jocelyn, Tori, Garhett, Kayla, Myranda, Joshua, and Trinity; great-great-grandchildren, Quinn and Kinsley; many nieces and nephews. Donna also leaves special neighbors, John, Carol, and Beth Mauller and Jack, Kathy, Joseph, and Jonathan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service with Pastors Kenn and Wendy Ferrell officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
