Donna Lou Kennedy, age 75 of Rootstown, Ohio, died at her home on February 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on September 24, 1946 in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Don and Jeanette (nee Houser) Riley.
Donna loved to camp with her late husband and many close friends, however, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Anna (Donnie) Root and James (Robin) Gomez; her grandchildren, Nikki (Rob) Salas, DJ (Katy) Root, Ashley (Kevin) Cassidy and Adam (Karina) Byrd; and her great-grandchildren, Brooke, Faith, Olivia, Ellie, Owen, Oliver, Kylie and Madison.
Her siblings are also living, Nancy (John) Harris, Dean (Jodi) Riley and Bobby Campbell.
Other than her parents, Donna Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Kennedy on December 3, 2019, they were united in marriage on September 18, 1986; and her brothers, Michael, Clifford, Charles and Randy Riley.
Per Donna's wishes there will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
