Donna L. Rentz

Donna L. Rentz, 83, passed away on August 16, 2010. She was born in Akron on March 24, 1927 to the late Otis and Bessie Petty. Donna was a loving and generous individual who found her greatest joy in caring and cooking for her family, friends, and neighbors. Donna never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughters, Sheri and Beverly; brother, Howard Petty; and sister, Janet Crites. Survivors include her daughters, Nancy (Richard) English, Carolyn (George) Jones, and Linda Harris; sons, David (Rose), Earl H. (Stella), and James (Cheryl); sisters, Betty Hershberger and Jo Ann Mullins; brother, Robert Petty; son-in-law, Tim Neptune; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and neighbors. Calling hours will be Sunday, 1-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. Interment at Grandview Memorial Park.
