Donna Latta, age 69 of Columbus passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at home, with her daughter by her side. She was born in Buckhannon, WV on June 15, 1951, the daughter of the late Glenn and Mary {Compton} Woody.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Chris, her sister, Della Wireman, and her mother- and father-in-law Fletch (Jeanne) Latta.
Donna's memory will always be cherished by her daughter Tiffany (Josh) McCann; grandchildren Austin, Archer, Henry and Hallie; sister Sandy (Byron) Brandt; brothers-in-law Steve (Elizabeth) and Greg (Teddy) Latta; sister-in-law Phyll Lagerman; several nieces and nephews; good friends Norma Lanker and Lizz Plott.
Donna loved crafting, and was part of a local card making club. She also joined a walking club, the Gahanna Get Moving Team, and made many dear friends in both. Through the walking club, Donna and her friends cared for many of the stray Creekside Cats, that found homes. Donna volunteered her free time to help those in need, and was especially involved with G.R.I.N., Gahanna Residents in Need.
Per Donna's wishes, there will be no formal services, and cremation has taken place. A memorial walk in Donna's honor will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's name may be made to G.R.I.N., 165 Granville St. Gahanna, OH 43230, or your local Humane Society. To leave a message for Donna's family, please scroll below.
