Donna M. Harris

Donna M. Harris, 73, resident of Akron, Ohio, passed away on July 29, 2013 after a sudden illness. She was born on April 30, 1940 in Philipsburg, PA to the late Mac and Violet Dickson. Donna retired from F.W. Woolworth Co. after many years of service and was an active member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and 'Gram'.

Donna is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Charles Harris, 3 daughters; Penny (Steve) Smith, Sherry (Ralph) Shelton and Patty (Ronnie) Henline, 6 wonderful grandchildren; Stephanie, Ashley (Zach), Bryan, Brandon, Stacey and Bradley, sister, Elizabeth (Jim) Straw and brother, Pat (Marylou) Dickson, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Mac Dickson, Jr. and Gaylon Dickson. Many thanks to the team at Hospice Care Center in Copley, OH for their terrific care.

Friends may call 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at BEEZER HEATH FUNERAL HOME, 719 E Spruce St, Philipsburg, PA 16866 where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
