Donna J. Mallory, 90, passed away on February 17, 2023. She was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania on November 4, 1932 to the late Harry and Laoma Pike. She met and married Lawrence Mallory and they relocated to Ohio where they began their family.
Donna's family meant everything to her. Her daughters remember her as being the "fun" mom and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren loved spending time with their "G.G." Donna cared for others as much as she did for her family. Over the years, she was very active in Cornerstone Church. She helped prepare numerous senior luncheons and baked cookies to send overseas to service men and women. She loved family reunions and cousins weekends and could always be counted on to provide the entertainment for those events. She loved to swim and read books. She and her sisters acquired a large collection of books to share with one another. Donna collected tea cups and saucers; her prized one came from England, a place she visited three times.
Donna had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel to unknown places. She studied maps and was always willing to find a new place to explore.
Donna loved to laugh and will always be remembered for her quick wit and antics. She was a light in all our lives and will never be forgotten.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; brother, Edward Pike; sister, Daisy Ivy; and granddaughter, Hollie A. Sloan.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Susan Sheets, Mary Alice Shultz; daughters, Laurie A. DiCeglio (Wayne) and Teri L. Lamtman (Larry); grandson, William A. West; great-grandchildren, Erica (Ryan), Ashlynn (Paul), Jake, Kamryn, Haley (Brandon), Justin, and Anna; great-great-grandchildren, Noah and Avery; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Donna will be laid to rest in McClellandtown, Pennsylvania alongside her husband, Lawrence at a later date.
If desired, memorial contributions in memory of Donna may be made to Alliance Aultman Hospice.
