Donna J. Mcburney

Donna J. McBurney, 79, passed away August 4, 2023 with some of her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Henry and Glenna (Arthur) Farmer, she resided in both Akron and Piedmont, Ohio during her life. Donna enjoyed writing for The Outreach newspaper, attending church, participating in the clothes closet in Freeport, planting flowers, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Gerry; son, Greg; siblings, Norma, David, Don, Lynne. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Gordon, Grant; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, George (Denise) Farmer, Sandee Schoenly; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wintergreen Ledges Church of God, 1889 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron. The funeral service will follow at 11 a. m. at the church. Another visitation will be Monday, August 14th from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Freeport Church on the Rock, 223 S. High St., Freeport, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the church. Interment will take place at Ebenezer Cemetery in Bethesda, Ohio.
