Doris E. White, 78, of Randolph, passed away August 19, 2007 at Akron City Hospital. She was born January 13, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late Oscar H. & Nellie A. Oden. Doris was a graduate of East High School Class of 1947. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. In her free time, she made many crafts using many items and enjoyed cooking and baking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, William J. and Donald H. White; brother, Oscar Oden; brother-in-law, Fred Selby; and sister-in-law, Barbara Oden. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James W. White of Randolph; sons, Robert (Becky) and John (Darla) both of Salineville; daughter, Linda (Tom) Nellis of Atwater; daughter-in-law, Debra Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Selby and Mary Fohner; brothers, Ted Oden and Jack Oden; sister-in-law, Betty Oden; numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron OH. Interment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
