Doris Jane Franzmann, 57, of Akron, passed away October 31, 2008. Doris was born in Akron on March 8, 1951 to the late Sam and Willie Greer. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and taking road trips with her sisters. She was an avid fan of NASCAR and drag racing. Doris loved spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Greer. She is survived by her sons, David Franzmann, Jr. and Sam (Tina) Franzmann; sisters, Inez (Robert) Sik and Tammy (Jim) Thornton; brothers, Sam and Marvin Greer; sister-in-law, Mary Greer; grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Josie, Josh, and Bobby; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 1-2 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. memorial service, Pastor Steve Bucy officiating.
