Doris Gwen Lutz

Doris Gwen Lutz, 87, passed away on December 30, 2018. She was born in Akron on November 9, 1931 to the late Lowery and Ethel Myers. Gwen retired from Summit County, where she served as the head secretary of the Building Inspection Department. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, shopping and getting her hair and nails done. In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; and infant son, Larry. She will be dearly missed by her children, Gail, Glenn, and Garry Lutz; sister, Betty Perry; brother, Bill (Bobbie) Myers; grandchildren, Shannon (Philip) Shook, Derrick Lutz, and James Hutchinson; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Brenda and Ed Parsch and Debbie Wilson. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
