Doris M. Cox, 80, of Stow, passed away January 24, 2011. Doris was born in Akron on March 15, 1930 to the late Howard and Edith Hayes. In her free time, she enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Cox; grandson, Michael Cox; and brother, John "Jack" Hayes. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Thomas (Donna) Cox and their children, Tommy and Amber and James (Julie) Cox and their children, Jimmy and Sara; sisters, Jane Sayers and Ruth (Wayne) Pouncey; and several nieces and nephews, including Carla and Ronda. The family would like to thank the staffs at Briarwood Nursing Home and Hospice of VNS for all the care given to Doris. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
