Doris L. Martindale, 86, of Akron, passed away March 17, 2007. Doris will always be remembered for her caring and generous personality and for her devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur M. Martindale; sons, Arthur M. Martindale, Jr. and Bobby Zeman; and granddaughter, Karen Motley. She is survived by her children, Johnny (Martha) Zeman of Tennesse, Gary Zeman of Maryland, Mary (Louis) Aveles of Pennsylvania, and Katherine (Mark) Thomas of Akron; brother, Albert (Ruth) Snelling of Texas; sister, Nancy Frederick of Maryland; grandchildren, Elizabeth Zeman, Dawn, Melissa, Gary Jr., and Christina Zeman, Chad Thomas (Omy Dugan), Shaun (Stephanie) Thomas, Brittany Thomas (Chris Klines); and great-granddaughter, Savannah Katherine Thomas. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with visitation from 5-7 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Colora, Maryland.
