Dorothea J. MacLarren
Dorothea J. MacLarren (nee Gerhart), 70, passed away March 30, 2008 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer despite being a non-smoker. Dorothea was born November 22, 1937 and grew up in Norton, Ohio. She met her husband, Jerry, on a blind date. She was very active at her church, Sawyerwood United Methodist Church. Her concern for others outweighed her own needs. Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry F. MacLarren. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Brian) Cullen; son, Mark (Mildred) MacLarren; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 2nd at 6 p.m. with visitation from 5-6 p.m. at Sawyerwood United Methodist Church, 956 Mohawk Trail. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society for Lung Cancer Research.
