Dorothy B. Petush Redrick, 84, of Akron, passed away August 14, 2010. She was born in Akron on September 21, 1925 to the late James and Marietta Petush. Dorothy was a member of East Market Street Church of God. In her free time, she enjoyed taking trips to casinos, bingo, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald, James, William, Larry, and Nick Petush; and sister, Rose Orr. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Donald Redrick; sister-in-law, Diane Redrick; children, Jimmy (Kathy) McKenzie, Loretta (Bill) Rutherford, Becky (Bob) Cumberlidge, Roger (Barbara) McKenzie, Diane (Ralph) Rivera, and Denise (Warren) VanMeter; sisters, Shirley Griffith and Louise Lumley; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m., Pastor O.L. Henderson officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
