Dorothy Bates (nee Barron)
Dorothy Bates, 72, of Akron, passed away March 30, 2009. She was born August 11, 1936 in Akron to the late Arthur and Vivian Barron. She was a graduate of Central High and enjoyed gardening in her free time. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Barron and sisters, Elizabeth Kemple and Faye Poole. She is survived by her daughter, Mai (Michael) Gallop; sister, Myra Ann (Walter) Wiesman; and many nieces and nephews, including Roger Poole. Per Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place.
