Dorothy E. Hale

Dorothy E. Hale, 82, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. She was born in Akron on August 28, 1929 to JC and Lola Hale and was a life long resident of the Akron area. Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of East High School and remained active in the Alumni Association.

She retired as an x-ray technician with Akron City Hospital. Dorothy enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and playing cards. She was a member of the Emmanuel Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star, Akron, Ohio.

Dorothy is survived by her adopted family, John and Carol Hrivnak; their children, Jim (Pam) Hrivnak, Tom (Nancy) Hrivnak; and their grand-daughters, Erin, Melissa and Hannah.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, February 28 from 10-11 AM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
