Dorothy J. Swiger Huddleston, 90, of Cuyahoga Falls, OH passed away on May 28, 2013. She was born in Pine Bluff, WV on June 20, 1922 to the late Ellis and Pearl Sandy.
Dorothy retired from Sparkle Market in 1988. She was a 49 year member of Bailey Road Christian Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved being around people.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Garvin Swiger; daughters, Penny and Vicki Swiger; two sisters and a brother. Dorothy is survived by daughter, Pam (Jerry) Blankenship; grandchildren, Rick (Mary Sue) Swiger, Tiffany and Joey Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Brandon Swiger; great-great-grandaughter, Dalila Wagner; sister-in-law, Bernadette Sandy; numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, June 2 from 4-6 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., on Monday, June 3 from 12 - 1 p.m. at Bailey Road Christian Church, 3200 Bailey Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dave Brown officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Copley, OH 44321.
