Dorothy I. (nee Bable) Jenkins Lucien, age 70, of Akron, Ohio, died on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home.
She was born on October 1, 1946 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold Don Bable and Anna Mae (nee Brumit) Bable Cucuzza.
Dorothy retired from Acme Grocery Store. She loved to play bingo and gamble, and entertaining family and friends and she was always the life of the party. Dorothy never met a stranger. She was a self proclaimed gypsy who loved to travel, but there was no place like home.
Dorothy was a past volunteer at the Atwater Fire Department and was an EMT.
Survivors include her four children, Carl (Jeannie Grable) Jenkins, Craig (Julie) Jenkins, Cindi (Bruce) George, and Jessica (Chris) Conley; her grandchildren, Cori, Tessa, Liza, Jerry, Randy, Ami, Nash, Bruce, and Livy. Her siblings also survive, Bob Bable, Gloria (Glenn) McFarlane, and Jim (Alice) Bable; and many nieces and nephews; and her Saturday "club".
Other than her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlene Daywalt and Ed Bable.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.
