Dorothy E. Martin, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2008. She was born July, 18 1928 in Akron, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her son, John and sisters Martha Thomas and Alice Fowler. She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 59 years, Lowell; sons Butch (Sandy), Paul (Sharon) and Bruce (Michelle) Martin; grandchildren Craig (Erica) Martin, Kevin (Marcie) Martin, Heidi (John) Roberts, Tony Martin, Amy and John Martin; great-grandchildren Brant and Tristan Roberts and Drew Martin; brothers David and Ralph Reynolds; sisters Ruth Houston - Thomas, Arlene Carpenter and Mary Gray. Calling hours will be Tuesday July 15th, 7 - 9 P.M. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 16 at 11 A.M. at the Rolling Acres Alliance Church, 2500 Kingsport Way, with Rev William Gilliam and Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. There will be visitation from 10 - 11 at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Rolling Acres Alliance Church.
