Dorothy Maxine Lamb
Dorothy Maxine Lamb, 77, of Akron, passed away July 6, 2006 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home. She was born October 2, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late John & Grace (Heath) Eihinger. Dorothy loved to play BINGO and was a lifelong resident of Akron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lamb after 25 years of marriage. Dorothy raised her children on her own after her husband's death. She is survived by her daughters, Patti (Gerald) Johnson and Sandra (Steve) Hawkins; sons, Jeffrey (Stephanie), Richard (Dolly), Mark (Kathy), Kenny and Terry (Linda); 24 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene; brother, Bob; and a host of nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
