Dorothy Kay "Dottie" Pastis, 66, of Silver Lake, passed away peacefully at her home, with her family surrounding her on Friday, April 5, 2024.
She was born on January 17, 1958 to Essie {Hayes} Lohmier and the late Bob Lohmier.
In addition to her father, Dottie was preceded in death by her brother Frankie Lohmier and step-daughter Zoe Pastis.
Dottie is survived by her loving husband, Mike; step-daughters Sarah (Jody) Campbell and Erica Pastis; grandchildren Adina, Talia, Ronen, Aryeh and Iliad; sisters Linda (Gary) Thompson, Pam (Mike) Lynch and Lou (Chuck) Bickel.
Dottie graduated with her Master's of Social Work, and was also an LPN. During her career, she specialized in mental health care, and was passionate about advocating for the rights of her residents. Dottie provided LISW-S training supervision to support completion of Terri's Master's degree in Social Work.
In her free time, Dottie enjoyed baking, gardening and crocheting, though nothing was more important than quality time with her family.
