Dorothy Rita Canter, 84, of Akron, passed away January 17, 2014. She was born in Akron on September 25, 1929.
Dorothy served as a Girl Scout leader and was a competitive bowler and ballroom dancer. She was a longtime member of Allenside Presbyterian Church. She was devoted to her family and will be truly missed.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and her mother, Ida Isham.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Richard) Byers, Carol Mara, Alan Canter, and Dennis Canter; brother, Kenny Isham of Arizona; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Per Dorothy's request, there will be no services and burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park will be private.
