Dorothy W. Sanders, 91, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2011. She was born in Erie, PA and has lived in this area since 1935. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace; son and daughter –in-law, John and Shirley Sanders; grandson, John Sanders; brother, Lloyd Judy; and sister, Myrtle Long. Dorothy is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Renate Sanders of Suwanee, GA, Joseph and Carol Sanders of Colleyville, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Fellmeth of Mogadore, OH; sister-in-law, Lydia Sanders of Akron, OH; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She volunteered for 6 1/2 years at Akron City Hospital and 8 ½ years at Fallsview Psychiatric Hospital. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls. A memorial service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road or the donor's favorite charity. Cremation and inurnment at Greenlawn Cemetery has taken place.

There's many times throughout the day
I speak His name and stop to pray.
For I have finally come to see
That He is always there for me.
To work His wonders in little ways,
To help me make it through my days.
And when it comes my time to go,
I'll not be afraid or full of woe,
For where I go, there He will be,
With His hand held out to me.
And as I leave this earthly place
This I know! I'll see His face.
