Douglas R. Cook

Douglas R. Cook, age 75 of Akron entered Heaven's gates on Monday, October 5, 2020. He was born on April 11, 1945 in Akron to the late Fred and Eulalia {Ballway} Cook.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by brothers Christopher and Blaine Cook and sister Pamela Dennis.

Doug will be dearly missed by his siblings Mark A. Cook, Charlene E. Cook, Brenda J. Cook, Marilyn L. Hahn, Adrian J. Cook, Garret "Keith" Cook, and Kent E. Cook; many nieces and nephews.

Doug greatly enjoyed studying astronomy and computer programming.

Visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, 44305. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. PLEASE PLAN TO WEAR A MASK AND PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING. Inurnment with well-deserved military honors will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
