Douglas C. Doepel, age 63 of Akron went to be with our Lord on November 30, 2021.
Born on December 9, 1957, Doug grew up in Suffield and graduated from Field High School in 1977. Doug was quick to laugh and quick to love, with a big heart. But what he loved most was his nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by parents Ben and Beverly Doepel. Survived by brothers Joe Doepel of Merritt Island, Ged (Paula) Doepel of Suffield; sister Glenda (Mark) Keenleyside; nieces Mindy (Donovan) King and their children Cayden and Lucy, Anna Neawedde, Alexita Doepel; nephews David (Courtney) Neawedde and their children Niko and Violette, Jay Neawedde, Spencer Doepel; brother-in-law Jim Neawedde, Jr.; many dear cousins and friends.
All are welcome to visit on Sunday, December 5 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Following services, cremation will take place, and Doug will be laid to rest privately.
