Douglas Edward Jones, age 63, of Akron, Ohio passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Ruth Jones.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Ginger (Jason) Cook, Leah Jones, and Rachel (Robert) Fisher; grandson, Bobby Fisher; sisters, Debbie Biondi and Diane (Steve) Mitchell; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Our dad graduated from Ellet High School in 1972. He loved spending time with his family, almost as much as he loved playing golf. He was a lifelong carpenter and we all benefited from his skills.
Our dad was a kind, loving man who would do anything to help anyone. We will miss him always.
Friends will be received on Thursday July 6, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., with a memorial service immediately to follow at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 North Canton Road, Akron, OH 44305. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at Dept 41831, PO Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265.
