Douglas C. Meyer

The family of Douglas C. Meyer sadly announces that he passed away at home on June 3, 2020. He was employed for over 30 years at Owens-Corning. Doug was an avid sports fan and loved all the Cleveland teams, especially the Indians. Family and friends can light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one.
He was predeceased by his parents, Phineas Meyer and Sarah Meyer Conner; stepfather, Vernon Conner; daughter, Tonya Meyer; stepson, William Tidwell II; and many other dear relatives. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Michele; his son, Douglas K. Meyer (Holly Taylor-Meyer); stepdaughter, Rochelle Tidwell Yeater (David Yeater); sister, Janet Meyer Hall; grandchildren, Indy Meyer, Watson Meyer, Madison Brown (Keith Brown), Anthony Yeater, Andrew Yeater (Stephanie Manes), Holly Yeater (Trey Ford), Noah Yeater (Hannah Brost); great-granddaughters, Dixie, Riley, Ilynn, and Skyler and many more on the way; many other relatives and friends.
Because of the current social gathering restrictions, services for Doug will be limited to family members. Family may visit on Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 12-2 followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
