We mourn the passing of Dr. Cheryl Ann Lininger, who was born on December 8, 1959, in Akron, Ohio, United States. Cheryl passed away on February 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.
Cheryl was the caring wife of George Lininger for 43 years, he followed her in death 22 hours later. She was a loving mother to her three children, Michael Lininger(Katie), LG Lininger, and Sarah Mohan(Justin). She adored her grandsons, Archer and Patrick. They brought endless joy to her life.
Cheryl graduated from Lake High School in 1977 and continued her education at Akron State University and the University of Phoenix, earning her Master's degree in 2010, and dual PhD's in 2012. She went on to have a successful career as a Professor of Psychology and Curriculum. First at Miami Jacobs and then at Stark State University. She touched the lives of many students who knew her by the name, "Ms. L", before retiring in 2016.
Cheryl was a kind and compassionate soul who dedicated her life to helping others. She will be remembered for her intelligence, wit, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Cheryl's strength and resilience in the face of adversity serve as an inspiration to us all. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
