E. Duane Deering , 85, of Akron, this beautiful soul went to Heaven on June 27, 2013 at Akron City Hospital. He was born January 26, 1928 in Akron, OH, the son of the late Walter and Helen Deering. He was a graduate of North High School and enjoyed his sports and music. A longtime member of First Congregational Church in Akron. Duane retired as a furniture salesman having worked at O'Neil's and Long & Co.
He is survived by his loving Wife of 58 years, Elaine (Drapchaty) Deering, Son, Mark (Debbie) Deering, Daughter, Kelly (Wayne) Hillis, Grandchildren; Brandy Deering, Steven Deering, Brittany Deering, Julie Hillis and Kathy Hillis, Sister, Lucille Chapman, other Relative and Friends. Private family services will be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, Food Pantry, 292 E. Market St, Akron, OH 44308.
