Earl D. Lowther
Earl D. Lowther, 73, passed away July 24, 2007 after a courageous two year long battle with cancer. Earl was born in Akron, Ohio on July 23, 1934. He was a Marine who proudly served his country in the Korean War. He retired from Ford Motor Company (Walton Hills Stamping Plant) in January of 1989 after 30 years of service. He spent most of his life living in Tallmadge but moved to Woodsfield, Ohio after retirement to enjoy the serenity of the land that he loved with his devoted and caring wife of 49 years. Earl was always the man behind the camera. He has video recorded every family event and occasion for the past twenty years, leaving behind a gift of precious memories for his beloved family to cherish. Preceded in death by Father and Mother, Earl and Jean Lowther; Sister, Mary Jane Edwards; Brothers-in-law, Jake Nopper, Bill Kilgore, James Edwards, and Emerson Scott; and life long best friend, Donald Geiger. He is survived by his beloved wife, Flo; Sons, Don Lowther, Larry (Ginger) Lowther, and Ernie Lowther; Daughters, Darlene Reeves and Rhoda Lowther; Brother, Terry (Cecilia) Lowther; Sisters, Donna Edwards, Katherine Nopper, Shirley (Lowell) McDonald, Camille (Greg) Marchinsky, Earlene Kilgore, and Carol (James) Chapmen; Sister-in-law, Phyllis (Spencer) Morris; Grandchildren, Amy, Elizabeth, Julie, Andrew, Alex, Crystal, J, Kristina, and Joshua; and Great-Granddaughters, Rhea and Shayna. Funeral services will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. with vistation from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
