Earl E. Kline

Earl E. Kline, 95, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2017. He was born in Suffield, Ohio on May 2, 1922 to the late Thomas and Stella (Strause) Kline. Earl was a WWII veteran with the 83rd Combat Division and a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from International Operating Engineers Local 18 and enjoyed dancing, fishing, and playing cards. Earl dearly loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren who he loved dearly.

Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Betty J. (Kurtz) Kline; children, Belinda Haren, Virgil (Wendy) Kline and Julie Schott (Freddy DeMarco); grandchildren, Jennifer, Jayme, Ryan, Trevor, Melanie, Eric; great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Derek, Rhianna, Olivia, Nicklaus, Calvin, Quinn, Caroline; sister, Erma Tyree; brother, Leo (Sandy) Kline; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Kline. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to follow at 7:00pm.
