Earl R. Turley, 85, of Akron, passed away October 29, 2010. Earl was born February 17, 1925 in Rutledge, Tennessee. Earl was a very hard worker. In 1963, he opened E & L Rubbish and he retired in 1985. Earl was a member of the Croatian Club and the Wolf Ledges Club. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and caring for his lawn. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mattie; and siblings, Hubert, Paul, Bill, Albert, Carl, Ruby, Beulah, and Minnie. He will be deeply missed by his loving companion of 25 years, Judy Knox; children, Tava Busey, Dale (Diane) Turley, Diane Turley, Ray (Linda) Turley, Robert Turley, David Turley, and Wayne Turley; stepchildren, Julia Johnson, Larry T. (Dawn) Knox, Jr., and Teresa Stack; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral services and burial will be cared for by Fielden Funeral Home in New Market, Tennessee.
