Earnest L. Swan Sr.

Earnest L. Swan, 87, of Ravenna, passed away on October 25, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1936 the son of the late Lloyd and Dorothy Swan. Earnest proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #496 where he served as an honor guard and loyally volunteered. Earnest owned and operated Earnest Swan Construction for over 20 years. He enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles. Earnest had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved daughter Justine Price; and granddaughter Brooke Swan.

Earnest is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Johana Swan; daughter Julie (Dave) Anderson, and Jackie Braun; son Earnest L. Swan Jr.; step-daughters Cindy Lynn Craig, and Tammy Renee (Sandra) Franks; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Burcham, and Emery Swan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Nov. 2nd from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the American Legion Post #496 (1945 Mogadore Rd. Kent 44240).
