Earnestine E. Russo

Earnestine E. "Earnie" Russo, 80, of Akron, passed away March 8, 2002 at St. Thomas Hospital. She was born February 22, 1922 in Spencer WV to the late Otto C. & Nina (Edgell) Ellis. Earnestine was a member of St. Matthew Church and a 35 year volunteer at St. Thomas Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carmelo "Carl" J. Russo in 1990; son, Michael J. Miller in 1994; brother Andrew "Andy" Ellis. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Tonguette of Akron; daughter-in-law, Carol Miller of Akron; grandchildren Karen, Linda, Jay, Karla, Jeff and Sandra; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd.
